Everton FC Hill Dickinson Stadium

Social Value Evaluation

The Brief

Everton FC faced a number of planning challenges when proposing the construction of their new stadium in a UNESCO heritage protected zone.  They required a robust, quantified evaluation of the net social value of the project to the citizens of Liverpool and Merseyside.

Our Role

Dr. Daniel Fujiwara led the study to quantify the net social value of the new asset – taking account of both negative and positive impacts to produce a rigorous, HM Green Book compliant evidence base.

The Result

The study quantified a net positive benefit to the community of £217m, and was a key part of the submission that secured ultimate planning approval following previous rejections.
